Candace Jae Winter, BSN, RN, CCM, CLCP, is the founder and President of SPECIALTY CARE CONSULTANTS, INC. Ms. Winter is a Bachelor's prepared registered nurse holding national certifications in Life Care Planning, and Medical Case Management. Ms. Winter has been a practicing RN for greater than twenty years with case management experience in the specialty areas of TBI, SCI, acute rehabilitation, chronic pain, burns, amputations, pediatric rehab, and other areas of catastrophic injury/illness. The purpose of Ms. Winter's practice is to utilize her experience in the coordination of care for people who have experienced catastrophic diagnosis or injury, the development of fair and valid care plans for individuals with chronic care needs, the provision of case management in the workers compensation arena, and the development of Medicare Set Aside allocations that address future care and satisfy CMS submission requirements.

Ms. Winter has experience in the hospital setting participating with multi-disciplinary treatment & rehab teams, as well as in corporate settings; her background is comprised of an extensive work history in insurance and managed care fields including Utilization Review/Case Management, development of life care plans and medical cost projections, hospital bill audit, and evaluation of all aspects of care delivery per nationally recognized standards of care and practice.

Ms. Winter received specialized training in Life Care Planning from the University of Florida/Intelicus program, which is recognized as the pioneer training program for Life Care Planning in the nation. In addition, Ms. Winter completed training for Legal Nurse consulting via Kaplan College. She is a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP) awarded by Commission on Health Care Certification (CHCC) and a Certified Case Manager (CCM) from the Commission for Case Management Certification.

Ms. Winter is an active participant in the case management community and has participated with the Utah Brain Injury Association as a speaker at their annual conference, has set on case management panels to address industry issues and has set on various health care advisory boards in the Salt Lake area.

Ms. Winter provides a range of comprehensive services to attorneys, insurance companies, group health providers, estate planners, and worker's compensation carriers. An example of services include: Life Care Planning, Medicare Set-Aside Allocations, and Medical Case Management.
